4. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent (COPPA)
4.1 Overview
GRIND Global is designed to accommodate athletes of all ages, including children under the age of 13. Because the App is used by children under 13, GRIND Guam applies the protections described in this Section 4 in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and other applicable children's privacy laws, and GRIND Guam acknowledges that it has actual knowledge that children under 13 use the App.
4.2 Verifiable Parental Consent
Before a child under 13 may create or use an Athlete Account, a Parent must create or authorize the Account using the Parent's own email address, not the child's. GRIND Guam does not permit a child under 13 to register an Athlete Account using an email address that does not belong to a Parent. By creating or authorizing an Athlete Account for a child under 13 using the Parent's own email address, the Parent affirmatively consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of the child's Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. All Account-related communications, including notices of this Privacy Policy, requests for consent, and any updates to this Privacy Policy, will be sent to that Parent email address.
4.3 Limited Collection for Children Under 13
For Users under 13, GRIND Guam limits collection of Personal Information to what is reasonably necessary to enable participation in the App's core features (name or username, age or age range, and Athlete Data described in Section 3.3). GRIND Guam does not knowingly collect more Personal Information from children under 13 than is reasonably necessary, and does not condition a child's participation in an activity on the child disclosing more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary.
4.4 No Behavioral Advertising to Children
GRIND Guam does not knowingly use Personal Information collected from children under 13 to serve targeted or behavioral advertising to those children.
4.5 Parental Rights
A Parent may, at any time:
- Review the Personal Information collected from their child
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of their child's Personal Information and Account
- Refuse to permit further collection or use of their child's Personal Information
- Revoke consent previously given
To exercise these rights, a Parent may contact GRIND Guam using the information in Section 20. GRIND Guam will respond to verified Parental requests within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable law.
4.6 Users 13–17
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 may create an Athlete Account with Parental awareness and involvement as described in our Terms and Conditions. Parents of Users in this age range retain the ability to manage or monitor the Minor's Account through an associated Parent Account, where such functionality is available.

Athlete Accounts store profile information, training progress, performance statistics, and any Content the Athlete chooses to submit (notes, journal entries, video clips).
7.2 Parent Accounts
Parent Accounts may be linked to one or more Athlete Accounts for purposes of monitoring, managing, or supporting the Minor's use of the App. Parent contact information is used for account administration, billing, and communications regarding the linked Athlete's activity, including practice schedule updates and announcements.

8. Video and Media Submissions
The App may display scrimmage videos, training content, and other media. Scrimmage videos are sourced from public video platforms (e.g., YouTube) and displayed within the App for viewing by Users. User-submitted video clips and media are stored in connection with the submitting User's Account and may be visible to Coaches and linked Parent Accounts as described in Section 6.2.
Users should not submit video or media content that they do not have the right to share. By submitting Content, you grant GRIND Guam a limited, non-exclusive license to display and use that Content within the App for the purposes of providing and improving the App's features.
9. Analytics, Cookies, and Tracking Technologies
We use analytics tools to understand how Users interact with the App, including which features are used, how often, and for how long. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual Users.
The App may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain session state, and improve performance. You can control or disable these technologies through your device settings, but some features of the App may not function properly without them.
10. Push Notifications
With your consent, the App may send push notifications to your device regarding practice schedule updates, announcements, challenge reminders, and other App-related information. You can manage or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App.
We do not use push notifications to deliver behavioral advertising to children under 13.
11. Payment Information
The App offers subscription-based access to premium training content. Payment information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. GRIND Guam does not store full credit card or bank account numbers on its servers; Stripe handles all payment data securely in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
We receive transaction confirmations and limited billing information (e.g., subscription status, plan type, billing email) from Stripe to manage your Subscription. For details on how Stripe handles your payment data, please review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
12. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. After Account deletion, we may retain certain information for a limited period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Athlete performance data, training logs, and submitted Content are retained in connection with your Account until you request deletion or delete your Account through the App's account settings. Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and improvement purposes.
13. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and regular security reviews.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is operated from Guam, USA. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
16. Third-Party Content and Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, and content (e.g., YouTube videos, external training resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
Third-party content displayed within the App (such as scrimmage videos) is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the originating platform.
17. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" feature. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret or respond to Do Not Track signals, the App does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to such signals. We will continue to review this as standards evolve.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
19. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United States and the Territory of Guam, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Privacy Policy shall be resolved in the courts located in Guam, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
